When applied in Milton Keynes, UK, the new city movement cared less about social aspects of a city compared to the infrastructure and commercial usage. In order to enhance social interaction and simulate a creative experience, our structure takes the advantage of the hacked road systems of Raumlabor’s Creative Urban Festival. Corollary to the disturbed grid, our proposal introduces Milton Keynes to an open structure that refers to the unbuilt social sides of this 1960’s utopian city with its endless roundabouts.

The structure should not only be seen as a proposal for the present day of the festival but an alternative mode of socializing in and around the roundabouts. Advanced Roundabout Unit provides space for interaction, access, sharing, negotiation that enriches with various combinations.
